Self care is giving the world the best of you instead of what’s left of you.
Taking better care of yourself through movement, nutritious intake and healing foods allows you to be the best version of yourself at work, home and in your community.
Learning to put yourself at the top of your to-do list will help everything else fall into place. As mothers, wives, co-workers, caretakers, and volunteers, we tend to think of our needs last.
Research shows an endless list of the benefits of nurturing yourself. It not only improves your emotional and mental health, but it can also decrease levels of anxiety and depression.
The BEST part is, when you take care of your needs first, you are more patient, more understanding and have so much more to give.
Consider how much more you would have to give if you look after yourself first. A favourite old adage “You can’t pour from an empty cup” is absolutely true!! You simply cannot. YOU need to be in your best mental state to serve the ones you love.
Promise yourself, today you will take care of YOU before others and always be sure when you say “yes” to others, you are not saying “no” to yourself.
It is not selfish to love yourself, take care of yourself and make your happiness a priority. You DESERVE it!!
What does your self care look like?
My self care form is a great skin care routine and the feeling of being pampered. Good Molecules sent me this curated skin care based on my needs. I have combination skin and enlarged pores. My toddler once said to me, “Mommy, your nose looks like a strawberry.” Kids say the darnedest things don’t they? Since then, I was on a hunt to find a new skin care regimen to reduce those strawberry pores.
Good Molecules is an effective, incredibly affordable, and importantly science-backed skincare brand. I’ve been using it for almost 2 months and I have seen a difference in my skin. My skin is more tighter, supple and my pores look slightly smaller.
Below are the items I used in that order:
Pineapple Exfoliating Powder
Niacinamide Brightening Toner
Niacinamide Serum
Silicone-Free Priming Moisturizer Click each photo for the direct link to purchase.
I love how these products are formulated with evidence-based ingredients, extremely affordable, fragrance free, and cruelty free which is safe for us and the planet. The world has enough products that are not true to their promises, costs too much and isn‘t safe for us or the planet.
Have you tried Good Molecules yet?
